October randoms

October, October, October... I love this month so much!
I love the fall festivities. I love Halloween activities and decor. I love the boots, scarves and jackets that get to be pulled back out. I love all the pumpkin and apple recipes floating around the internet. And October is the month that Kendrick and I met, so that makes it a little more special to me. This October was great! I am happy about all the fun things we were able to do.

One day Easton received a package post marked from Japan in the mail. Without stopping to ask if it could possibly be from a terrorist or something we instead tore into it and were pleasantly surprised to find two sheets of mustaches. Why are these things such a hit with men-children? Easton got such a kick out of having his picture taken with random mustaches on. And the twins and Kendrick wore the mustaches around the house all weekend. They even put mustaches on my Halloween decor. Oh, and the package was from their grandma-so we know it was safe:)

Easton made up a play dough game and would spend hours playing with play dough. Really, you can do anything with play dough as long as you use your imagination. And we all know, Easton is not lacking imagination. This was sort of a makeshift play dough basketball game that he invented. He missed most of his shots and a lot of  the play dough balls ended up on my floor (thank goodness this is a rental house), but he made sure to celebrate BIG when he actually made a shot.

Kendrick was asked to MC the wedding of his office manager's daughter. The kids spent the night at my parent's house and Kendrick and I drove down to Payson for it. It was kind of a disaster. The MCing part, that is. The reception itself was nice and looked good. But all the songs were on an iPod and the sound system kept shutting off and the karaoke machine didn't work and Kendrick couldn't talk in the microphone at the same time that the stereo was on without it shutting off. I felt so bad. It was supposed to be a dance party from 8-10 and it was kind of a bust. But at least we got a fun date night out of it!

I felt kind of out of place since I didn't know anyone at the wedding but it was fun to get dressed up and it's always entertaining to watch Kendrick entertain. I wanted a picture of the both of us but he snapped this one instead.
After the wedding we went grocery shopping (we are super exciting that way) and then Kendrick showed me his office. I had never seen where he worked before. His co-worker's fiance recently left a risque note on Kendrick's desk, so Kendrick got them back by taking a picture of us on her desk. It's hard to take a decent picture on a small desk with poor lighting and a cell phone. I sat on her mouse and her monitor kept jabbing me in the back. I hope they appreciate the work we went through to pull off that little prank.

The boys have been having a lot of fun playing with their new school friend, Riley. But they ALWAYS want to go play at his house. I couldn't figure out why until Riley's dad sent me this picture. Apparently Riley has quite the movie collection and his dad caters. Yeah, I don't cater. And I'm not a big fan of on turning on the TV when friends are over: so now I get why they always choose to play there.

It's like a Cody sandwich! I love that he is shirtless in the middle:)
We have a ridiculous amount of leaves on our lawn. I raked some up and was able to fill 7 Jack-O-Lantern bags but that didn't cut it. We still had a lot of raking to do. One morning I tried to rake some before we ran errands and Easton made my job a whole lot harder by jumping in my piles. We ended up with 14 huge piles when all was said and done. Luckily, the wind blew most of them away before I had to bag them:)

The Truly Randoms:

Easton was invited to his first ever Halloween Party. Come to think of it, I think it's the first party that just he has been invited to, without his siblings. He was so excited and had to pose for this picture before he left.
They slept in my bed last weekend and this is how poor Myles spent a good 3 hours one night.
Their costumes arrived on time! I was so worried that they wouldn't. I'm still waiting on the fabric for mine to get here:(
Easton wanted to be the photographer of my cyst removal . He got this photo and a disgusting picture of my cyst. I opted not to share the disgusting one. You are so welcome!
Easton LOVES taking pictures with my phone. 99% of them are unflattering and make no sense. But I thought this one was actually kind of cute and makes up for the previous picture.
Miss Katie was the first person to play our piano after it was delivered. I love this picture that Jenn took. Thank you again Jenn for hanging out at our house and waiting for the piano movers. You are the best!
He decided one morning before church that he wanted to be Robin Hood that day.
When we don't let him watch our shows he pouts on the stairs and falls asleep. This happens often. He has yet to fall down the stairs though. I don't know whether to say that him falling down the stairs would be sad or funny...I honestly would probably laugh..

Taylor likes to make Cha Cha a bed on the bottom level of her dollhouse and then have photo shoots with Kendrick's phone.

Kendrick was able to go to Missouri to visit his brother, mom and sister. I was jealous, not going to lie. I would love a mini vacay and I haven't seen Jude and Addie since they were teeny tiny. I had anxiety about him going and a few sleepless nights while he was gone, but I am glad he had a good time and remembered to take a few pictures.

Wasn't surprised at all that he sent me pictures of food!
This is his favorite meal his mom makes

Coolest sweatshirt I've ever seen! I want three of them!
While Kendrick was gone I tried to plan a lot of activities to keep us busy. First up was a homemade chili/pumpkin carving night at Elissa's. Elissa puts so much work into everything she hosts at her house. She is the most patient and chill hostess ever and she really does need to open her own catering business because she is a phenomenal cook. It was fun to see Brooke and Elissa and Michell since I hadn't seen them all since August and it is always so nice to get the little boys back together.

Tay and Ellie had the SAME outfit! I about died.
I loved that Elissa was holding a baby and carving a pumpkin at the same time. I had to get a picture to prove it:)
Brooks was just trying to be helpful and almost dumped all the seeds all over the driveway!
Tay opted to paint her pumpkin.
The cute Jorgensens
The cute Sutliffs
Naturally, I ended up carving all their pumpkins. Here is the finished product.
The next night we had Heidi and her kids over. It was a crazy busy day of regular Saturday chores and errand running and then the Primary program practice so it was nice to sit back and talk with Heidi for a few hours that evening. We haven't had the chance to talk, just the two of us, in YEARS. I am not exaggerating. We had like 4+ years of...stuff to catch up on. I am so glad I have Heidi as a friend. She is the most loyal friend a girl could ask for. In fact, that rings true for a few of my Florida friends. I lucked out to meet that group of women when I did. I feel bad that I didn't get any pics of the kids that night, but that's because they were so busy playing. I did get these pictures of this brilliant caramel apple idea though...

Easton was unaware that caramel apples actually have apples in them. Since he has strong feelings about all fruits and veggies-he was not a fan of our tasty dessert.
Heidi busted the melon baller! She really got into it;)
The kids before their Primary program. We sent these to Kendrick since he was going to be missing it. I was almost late to church but I was so proud that I had all 4 kids ready on time and was able to have my parents get them there 15 minutes early.
